Grub Gurlz

Color Palette

Although Grub Gurlz is based in New York, she “grubs” all across the country.  Owner Meredith had big plans for the blog, and she wanted a brand that was consistent and a website that would become a central place to share information.

The Plan:

Meredith has some rockstar goals:  she wants consistent restaurant collabs, she wants to take Grub Gurlz full time, and she wants to transform Grub Gurlz into a food + travel blog.  We took this and ran with it: she needed something bold and yummy.

A little bit of an illustration and pattern madness ensued.  Meredith wanted to stand out from other food bloggers, so we picked a bright and bold color story that we carried across all of her icons.  It was important to play with drippy, swirly aesthetics in the food to make the viewer hungry for more, and the theme was carried through to her 70s-inspired logo suite.  Meredith’s vibrant energy fills a whole room, and we wanted to reflect that in all of her branding.
